Introduction
In our increasingly digital age, it's critical to both make information readily available and to deliver new information fast. FiscalNote's latest offering -- Embeddable Reports -- enables you to put the policy that matters in the hands of your stakeholders, with updates readily accessible 24/7. Read below to learn what exactly they are, how they work, and how we recommend proceeding with using them.
Embeddable Policy Reports -- What Is It?
Embeddable Reports allow you to take the policy data that you've curated in FiscalNote, then repurpose it to make it publicly available on a website. Take your own Reports in FiscalNote:
And put them online, whether that be an internal or external website, for your top stakeholders to see:
How It Works
First, your data needs to be organized. If you haven't been set up with Discovery Alerts to get notified of new policy and Issues to track the policy documents that matter, please contact your Account Manager.

Once you and/or your team have begun organizing policy documents by Issue and Label, use Issue and Label Filters in the Reporting Center to start building your desired Report, and follow the steps below.
1. Find Reports from the navigation bar and click 'Create Policy Report' on the top left:

2. When done building your report, click Options on the top right and select 'Embed Report in Website':
A pop-up panel will appear with a code snippet at the bottom. Copy this code and follow the directions within the panel to add the information to your own website:
Tips & Recommendations
1. If you haven't worked with websites before, we highly recommend working with an internal web developer.
Working with code can get technical, so it's best to err on the side of caution when changing it.
2. Run several tests!
When launching any new workflow, there may be important details to sort out. Ensure your Embedded Policy Report is displaying according to your intentions before launching and publicizing its availability.
3. You cannot edit the code within the 'copy' box.
To alter the code, such as presentation size, copy the code and paste it into the desired container on your website. Then, find 'height' and 'width' within the code string and change the respective numbers.
4. IF altering the code in any fashion, we highly recommend testing within a sandbox environment.
Not only is it best to ensure deliverability prior to launching, but you will want. to ensure a smooth launch of new information to your. audience with as little disruption. as possible.
5. Embeddable Reports is not available for Legacy Reports.
If you wish to feature a Report on your website, build one using the newer, enhanced policy reports.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Do I need to refresh the Report to show updates?
A: No!
Embedded Reports dynamically update. Refreshed information is displayed each time the page is loaded.

Q: How long does it take for updates to show online?
A: About 1 hour.
FiscalNote will process any policy updates once about every hour.

Q: Is there a maximum number of policy document supported by Embedded Reports?
A: Yes – 4.500 pieces of policy data.
Attempting to create a report with more than 4,500 pieces of policy will result in the policy table being excluded from the report.

Q: Why isn't my policy data sorted by Issue & Label?
A: To support using the accompanying Maps.
Maps will be interactive and jump to corresponding policy data when clicked.

Q: What happens if I accidentally select a Region for which I have not been tracking any policy documents?
A: An empty map will be displayed on the Report.

Q: What happens when I don't select any Regions?
