Introduction

As part of FiscalNote's efforts to better serve you, our clients, we're excited to introduce the new Reports Center!  You can now enjoy tools to find previous Reports faster, such as the ability to use filters and a designated Reports Search bar.  Read below to learn what's new, what's changed, and how to navigate the new look.

The Reports Center Facelift: Navigating the New Look

For familiarity purposes, the design of the new Reports Center mirrors other recently updated pages, such as the Actions and Exports Centers.  Filters will be located on the left, results on the right, and bulk-edit tools listed above the list of Reports:

Bulk Reports Tools: Download, Delete, Refresh

The bulk Reports tools were designed for the ability to Refresh or Delete multiple reports at once.  Now, you can also download multiple Reports simultaneously.  Select the Reports you need via the checkboxes on the left, then choose to either Download, Delete, or Refresh in bulk:

Share & Edit

You can now access Stakeholder Reports from the Reports Center!  To access and share a previously built Stakeholder Report, click the 3 dots to the far right of the name:

Either download the Report and take it offline, or use the 'Share' URL to share it virtually.

While you cannot edit a Stakeholder Report, you can still edit a previously built Legislative Report.  To do so in the new Reports Center, click the 3 dots to the far right of the Report title and click Edit:

Make changes to the report style as if you were building it for the first time. When done, click Save.

New Features:

We listened to feedback and we heard you: finding your own Reports could be made easier.  To that end, we're thrilled to introduce a few new features that will help you locate both Legislative and Stakeholder reports with ease: The Reports Search bar, and Date & Source Filters.

The Reports Search Bar

Different from the Search bar at the top of FiscalNote, the Reports Search bar can only be found in the Reports Center.  It provides real-time results, allowing you to quickly find what you need:

Search for Reports by title, and edit your Search terms if your desired Report does not appear.

Filters: Date & Source

Below the Reports Search bar, extra filters have been added to help you locate your own Legislative and Stakeholder Reports.  Use the Date Filter to find Reports by date, and use the Source Filter to view either strictly Stakeholder Reports or strictly Legislative Reports:

FAQ

Q: Where's the 'Create Report' tab?

A: The 'Create Report' tab has been removed from the Reports Center. 

To create a Legislative Report: use the 'Create Report' tab found above the Reports Center in the collapsible menu on the left. 

To create a Stakeholder Report: click 'Create Report' from their page in FiscalNote.

Q: How many Reports can I see listed in the Reports Center at the same time?

A: 10.  To view past Reports, use the toggle arrows at the bottom of the page.

Q: How many Reports can I Download, Edit, or Refresh in bulk?

A: 10.  To Download, Delete, or Refresh more reports, use the toggle arrows at the bottom of the page to find more Reports.

Q: Do the Search bar and filters work together?

A: Yes.  

Example:  In Larry Munson's account, only policy reports contain the word 'Appropriations' in the title.  If Larry were to search for 'Appropriations' using the Reports Search bar, but only 'Stakeholders' was checked under the Source Filter, his Appropriations legislative reports would not show:
