Social Media Monitoring is a way for anyone to browse Twitter as if it were designed strictly for government-use. FiscalNote provide's tweets from US legislators, US governors, state executives, and the President of the United States, with powerful filtering options such as Party, Branch and Jurisdiction, to help you find exactly what you're looking for.
Even if you don't have a Twitter account, FiscalNote can be used to explore the native Twitter experience -- photos and videos are accessible, links are actionable and will unfurl to show a full web address, and the visual representation is the exact same, as seen here:
How To Use It
Searching:
Use the 'Name, Keyword, or Handle' text box on the top left to enter your search terms. There are typically 3 main uses for searching:
- A keyword or hashtag, such as COVID-19
- A specific name or account, such as an important federal official.
- Your own organization, to see if you have been mentioned by government officials.

Using FiscalNote to browse tweets from government officials is enhanced by powerful filtering options. Cut out the noise from the public forum and find all tweets on the subject from a specific legislature or even a party within the legislature.
Filtering options include: Date Range, Jurisdiction, Level of U.S. Government, Branch of U.S. Government, Political Party, and Topics. Combine them as needed to quickly find accurate, specific results:
