Filtering for legislation in past sessions

On FiscalNote, you can filter for past sessions in two places: 

1. Using the Session filter when searching 

2. Using the Session filter on the Data tab in an Issue

Session Filtering in Search

When you enter a search query into the search bar, FiscalNote will search across legislation in the current or most recent session by default. To search for legislation in current and past sessions, use the Session filter on the left of the page. First, click on the Session filter to expand the filter. Then, select the state that you're filtering for to view a list of all sessions on FiscalNote.

Click on the checkbox next to the sessions you'd like to search across and the page will reload to show you the filtered results. 

Session Filtering on the Data tab

The Data tab in your Issue displays the legislation from the current or most recent session by default. To view the legislation in your Issue from past sessions, click on "Show all Filters", click on Sessions and then select "All Sessions" from the dropdown list.
