System Administrators manage their organization's account in the Organization Settings menu. FiscalNote allows for customized segmentation and permissions between individual users and groups of users.
Understanding the Organization Tabs
- Organization: Create and manage users. Determine the jurisdictions, content, and features a user may access.
- Groups: Create and manage a container, called a Group, to segment users. Add users to this Group to grant them access to certain parts of FiscalNote.
- Roles: Configure permissions to control what users can do within FiscalNote. You can grant or forfeit their access in places like Discovery Alerts, Issues, and Collaboration Tools. Under Issues, the role can also Create, View, and Delete.

- "Create" allows users to add objects
- "View" allows users to see content
- "Delete" allows users to remove objects.

- Security: Configure time until session timeout and password expiration cycle (default is 90 days).
- Labels: manage the Labels in your organization's account.
