FiscalNote provides three ways to view state and federal legislative session information:
- Calendar view provides a chronological, date-based look at upcoming events and deadlines
- Session Date view is a simple, tabular representation of important dates for each Legislature
- Map view provides a high-level look at which states are in session and which are not.

Calendar
To view the session calendar, either hover over the Calendar icon on the left sidebar navigation menu and click “Calendar,” or visit https://app.fiscalnote.com/calendar?view=calendar. The current day will show in light yellow. Switch between month, week, and day views by clicking the buttons in the top right corner of the map. Use the single arrow buttons to move forwards or backwards in time to the previous time span. Use the double arrow buttons to jump forwards or backwards in one year increments.
Session Date
To view session dates, either hover over the Calendar icon on the left sidebar navigation menu and click “Session Dates” or visit https://app.fiscalnote.com/calendar?view=sessions. Session dates are available for the current and previous year.
Map
To view the session map, either hover over the Calendar icon on the left sidebar navigation menu and click “Map” or visit https://app.fiscalnote.com/map. Legislatures that have not yet convened this year are shown in gray. Legislatures that are currently in session are shown in purple. Legislatures that have a special session are in orange.
