How often does the system update legislator and support staff contacts?

Legislators are updated 2-4 business days after they officially take office. GovSearch, a third-party platform, provides the data, and we bring it into FiscalNote every other day.

Staffers are updated continually as needed. GovSearch reviews each state's staffer records at least once per year, but more frequent updates can be provided as needed. If there are particular states’ staffers you'd like to update more frequently, please let us know.
